The Ferrari myth was born from a man, Giulio Ferrari and his dream of creating in Italy a wine inspired by the best Champagne in France. A capable and rigorous winemaker, already a pupil of the prestigious Viticulture School in Montpellier, in 1902 Giulio brought Ferrari into fruition: a few, selected  though very expensive bottles, which were nevertheless enough to satisfy the requests of enthusiasts. In 1952, Bruno Lunelli, owner of Trento's best known wine cellar, purchased Ferrari from Giulio, who continued to work in the cellar until his death.

The Lunelli family, now its third generation, has been able to operate in the markets through entrepreneurial strategies that made Ferrari more than a successful brand, an authentic international myth in the field of Made-in-Italy products of excellence.
