Presidio Slow Food
Here, we produce Botìro di Primiero di Malga cheese, as well as mountain pasture butter, a Slow Food presidium.
Located in the Vanoi Valley, at the foot of Lagorai, at 1804 m a.s.l., we supply the buttermilk to make Botìro di Primiero cheese.
A few years ago, we began processing dairy products in the small facility on the mountain dairy. Though isolated and difficult to reach, this facility is today no longer at risk of abandonment, since it was rehabilitated thanks to its Slow Food presidium status, which transformed it as an example for many other dairy farms under poor conditions.
Period of operation: mid-June to mid-September
Guided tours: every morning, from 8.30 am; you can view the processing phases required to make the Botìro di Primiero di Malga cheese.
