Azienda Agricola VenticinqueDieci

VenticinqueDieci Agircultural Company

The VenticinqueDieci agricultural company has a long-standing tradition in the production of apples in the Val di Non area, alongside which it has developed a diversification path focused on environmental sustainability.

In 2016, the cultivation of Solaris was introduced, a white grape variety developed at the Freiburg Agricultural Institute in the mid-1970s. Solaris is a disease-resistant (PIWI) grape variety, characterized by a high tolerance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, allowing for a significant reduction in plant protection treatments, generally limited to one or two applications per year.

The pedoclimatic conditions of the Upper Val di Non, particularly altitude and significant diurnal temperature variation, are especially suitable for the cultivation of Solaris, enabling optimal grape ripening and effective preservation of the aromatic profile.

The grapes grown in the company’s mountain vineyards are used to produce two types of wine:

  • “Soladìu 981”, a sparkling wine produced using the Martinotti (Charmat) method;

  • “XXV-X Alta Quota”, a still white wine.

In the municipality of Isera, the company has also undertaken the recovery and enhancement of a historic Cabernet Franc vineyard, planted in 1930 and considered one of the oldest in the province of Trentino. Since 2023, this vineyard has been used to produce the Cabernet Franc “Pergola Secolare”, an expression of a traditional training system and a vineyard heritage of significant historical value.

This conservation effort is further supported by the project “Adopt an Ancient Vine”, aimed at protecting and enhancing this historic vineyard.
