Ciuìga del Banale

In the Banale area, from autumn to March, a fresh sausage called Ciuìga is made by mixing pork and beef meat and beets. 
The history of this Slow Food Presidium tells of difficult times when families lived in extreme poverty and had to add beet pulp to their meat to survive.
