Trentino's Christmas Markets

The thrill is all in the build-up, in those days before Christmas itself arrives, when Trentino transforms into a magical fairyland: the festive atmosphere, the lights, the decorations, the market stalls… the smell of mulled wine.

You’ll see the sparkling lights of Christmas Markets everywhere — in the historic centres of large towns and in the alleyways of small mountain hamlets, where you’ll glimpse idyllic scenes and lovingly decorated little piazzas. At this time of year and in this magical atmosphere, village fountains become even more beautiful thanks to nativity scenes produced by the skilled hands of local craftspeople, and little ones discover that Santa Claus' house really does exist… all you need to do is look for it!
